The Sleep and Relaxation Sounds Alexa skill lets you play ambient sounds to help you sleep peacefully or block out unwanted noise at work or home. With over 125 high quality sounds to choose from, you'll be able to sleep better, stay focused, study without interruption, relax quickly, meditate more effectively, and get your baby to go to sleep faster!
How to use Sleep Sounds
Enable the skill
Enable Sleep SoundsPlay a sound
- Say "Alexa, open Sleep Sounds"
- After Alexa greets you say "Play Ocean"
Play a sound (direct)
- "Alexa, ask Sleep Sounds to play Thunderstorm"
Combine sounds
Combine up to 3 sounds to make entirely new sounds. Just say "and" between the sounds you wish to play.
Examples:
- "Alexa, play Ocean and Beautiful Dream"
- "Alexa, play Rain and Crickets and Frogs"
Upgrade to Premium Membership
- "Alexa, ask Sleep Sounds about membership"
Enable Guided Sleep
- "Guided Sleep On"
Disable Guided Sleep
- "Guided Sleep Off"

I like the wide variety of sounds available on this skill. The skill enables us to enjoy the benefits that used to be available only with a separate sound machine. I think that the skill will enable many of us to achieve a night of more restful sleep.

I can finally sleep to a constant sound!
I've always loved lying in bed and hearing the heat or air conditioning turn on, and it'd help me fall asleep. Sometimes I wish that was constant, and as we all know it can't always be. With sleep sounds, I can listen to white noise which will kind of imitate that. It's not perfect obviously, but I sleep so much better. My mother also helps babysit, and one of the children use it to help him sleep as well, so we have two Alexa's in the house now. Thank you for such an amazing app!

A sound for everyone!
So many great high quality sounds to choose from! Everyone in my family has a favorite they like to go to sleep to. (I guess I will be getting my kids Echo Dots for Christmas!) A really great skill!
Helps My Puppy Sleep!
Everyone told me to get an old ticking clock to help him sleep, as he would think it was a heartbeat. I put Alexa above his crate and have been playing "Heartbeat" for the past couple days and he is sleeping much better!

Easy to use,creates a white noise sound,we used ocean waves.We are seniors and used to waking during the night thinking of things we did or need to do.The sounds take over your thoughts and you go back to sleep.
One of my favorite alexa apps!
I've only been using this a couple of weeks and this app is already one of my favorite, most used alexa apps (along with home automation, timers and lists). Sounds are excellent quality, the variety is more than sufficient to find a few sounds that work for you, the app works perfect and most importantly, helps you relax and sleep. If you are thinking about getting a dedicated sleep sound machine, don't bother. This is better.
